From Self-Made to Spirit-Led: Laying My Business at God’s Feet

This is my heart today.

For many years in business, I depended mostly on me. I chased success, hit goals, and probably looked “successful” in the eyes of the world. But the truth? I was limiting myself—my potential, my purpose, my peace.

It was an internal battle. I wore the armor of hustle and the mask of self-reliance. But a couple years ago, I surrendered the fight. I laid it all at His feet.

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7

I stopped building my own empire and started building His Kingdom. I began to equip others, lead with intention, and be the light He called me to be in the business world. The shift didn’t come from a 4:00 am wake-up call, a stack of self-help books, or 100 burpees before sunrise. It came from spending time in His Word.

“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you.” – Psalm 55:22

Yes, I still work hard. But now the work has deeper purpose. It’s no longer about me—it’s about Him. I’m not retreating to what the world says I should be. I’m listening for His voice.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28

This journey is freeing. It’s purpose-filled. It’s potential unlocked. And it’s His.
